Summary

The DNP Travel Grants, offered by the American Physical Society (APS), aim to support graduate students attending the APS April Meeting. This event is a prime platform for students in nuclear physics to showcase their research, network with potential employers, and learn about recent advancements in the field. Eligible students can apply for grants that cover their early registration fees, contingent on submitting an application and a supporting letter from their advisor.

Overview

The American Physical Society (APS) is a nonprofit membership organization working to advance and diffuse the knowledge of physics through its outstanding research journals, scientific meetings, and education, outreach, advocacy, and international activities. APS represents more than 50,000 members, including physicists in academia, national laboratories, and industry in the United States and throughout the world. Division of Materials Physics(DNP) is pleased to offer a limited number of travel grants to encourage graduate student participation in the APS April Meeting. The APS April Meeting provides an excellent opportunity for students in nuclear physics to present their research, interact with potential employers, and hear about advances in a broad range of physics topics. The DNP will provide travel grants to students at the April Meeting who submit an application (with an advisor's supporting letter) and are accepted upon review. The award will cover the early registration fee for students presenting in-person.
