Overview

The American Physical Society (APS) is a nonprofit membership organization working to advance and diffuse the knowledge of physics through its outstanding research journals, scientific meetings, and education, outreach, advocacy, and international activities. APS represents more than 50,000 members, including physicists in academia, national laboratories, and industry in the United States and throughout the world. DLS CLEO Student Poster Awards Undergraduate and graduate students who present at the CLEO conference are invited to participate in a poster competition sponsored by the Division of Laser Science to recognize excellence in research by student members. Three best-poster awards are given, each recognized by a certificate and a $100 award, as well as honorable mentions, recognized by certificates. Membership in DLS is required to participate.
