The American Physical Society (APS) is a nonprofit membership organization working to advance and diffuse the knowledge of physics through its outstanding research journals, scientific meetings, and education, outreach, advocacy, and international activities. APS represents more than 50,000 members, including physicists in academia, national laboratories, and industry in the United States and throughout the world. Grants of up to $1000 are available to assist Division of Laser Science (DLS) members who are participating (in-person or virtually) in the APS March meeting, CLEO or FiO/LS who incur extra caregiver expenses to be able to participate in these conferences (e.g., extra child or adult daycare or babysitting services). Access grants of up to $1000 are available to provide assistance to enable those with disabilities to travel to the conferences. Funds will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis. Grant recipients are solely responsible for their choice of caregiving provider; APS-DLS does not endorse any caregiver providers.Eligibility
