Division 18 Research Grant

The Division 18 Research Grant, funded by the American Psychological Foundation, supports early career psychologists and doctoral students in their research aimed at enhancing public service. Applicants must be members of APA Division 18 and present their findings at Division 18 events. This grant encourages diverse applicants and is open to international candidates meeting eligibility criteria. It aims to foster innovation in psychological research that addresses critical societal issues.

APF is a grant-making foundation that funds early career psychologists and graduate students using psychology to solve important problems and improve people’s lives.
The Division 18 research grant supports efforts in research that advance public service. Division 18 is particularly interested in supporting doctoral-level graduate student and early career psychologists’ research.

Eligibility

Applicants must:be a member of APA Division 18 at the time of application submission
be early career psychologists (no more than 10 years postdoctoralApplicants who received their doctoral degree on or before the specified date are not considered early career for this program) OR current students in a doctoral-level psychology program. agree that, if awarded a grant, they will present their work through a Division 18 webinar or convention/professional meeting, or write a Division 18 newsletter articleInternational applicants from countries that have diplomatic relations with the United States and who meet the other eligibility requirements may apply for APF funding.

Ineligibility

Applicants enrolled in a terminal master’s-level program are not eligible
