Disaster Support Fund

Purpose: Provides assistance to individuals, businesses, and communities affected by disasters and crises.

Covered Disasters:

• Hurricanes
• Tornadoes
• Fires
• Other catastrophic events

Mission: Aims to mobilize resources and support recovery efforts in the wake of catastrophic events, providing hope and resilience in times of crisis.

Focus:

• Empowering the broadband industry to remain strong and connected
• Supporting communities when they need it most
• Assisting industry workers and their families during disaster recovery

Examples of Support Provided:

• Emergency financial assistance for families
• Support to keep generators running during restoration efforts
• Funds to help maintain communication and safety during recovery
• Support for workers to focus on network restoration for communities

Geographic Scope: Individuals, businesses, and communities affected by disasters (US focus based on context)
