Disaster Relief Grant - Member Grants

Geographic Scope: North Carolina

Overview:
Our Member Grant Program helps NCVMA members who own a practice (hospital or mobile unit) affected by a catastrophic event to fill gaps in insurance coverage and satisfy deductibles.

Total Since 2018: $47,500 granted to help NC veterinarians recover from natural disasters

Eligibility Requirements

• Must be a current NCVMA member for at least three weeks before the event
• Must be owner or part-owner of affected practice
• Associate veterinarians may not apply
• Affected practice must be in North Carolina

Award Criteria

• Maximum award: $5,000
• Funds must be used to cover insurance deductible for repairing practice facility or replacing supplies
• Only one grant may be used per practice in a twelve-month period
• Available for practices affected by catastrophic events (natural disasters)

Processing

• Funds will be disbursed promptly
• Applications must be submitted within four months of the event
