Summary
The Digital Wish Donation Program, initiated by Mobile Beacon, aims to provide affordable high-speed Internet access to K-12 schools, colleges, and libraries. For just $10 a month, participating institutions can receive donated mobile hotspots and discounted tablets, enabling them to enhance digital literacy and connectivity among underserved students. This initiative not only breaks down barriers to access but also fosters educational equality, ensuring that all learners have the tools they need to succeed in the digital age.Overview
Our Mission Our mission is to affordably connect nonprofits to the high-speed Internet access they need to better serve our world. In a world of limited resources, we believe connecting nonprofits, schools and community anchor institutions is a critical investment in our nation’s future. Working in partnership with them, we can improve broadband access and digital literacy for millions of Americans, especially underserved groups such as the elderly, low-income and disabled. Our mission is tied closely to our roots: Mobile Beacon was founded by one of the largest Educational Broadband Service (EBS) providers in the United States. The mission of EBS, to power education through broadband, is the keystone of our organization. It is the basis for our pricing and programs, which seek to make broadband affordable, break down barriers to access, and bring equal educational and digital opportunity to all Americans. Digital Wish Donation Program Through our $10/month, unlimited Internet service and device donation program through Digital Wish, schools save significantly on access costs. This program helps educators: Provide affordable out-of-school access to students who do not have Internet access at home Create instant, wireless access in the classroom Create a low-cost backup Internet source to ensure lesson plans aren’t interrupted by slow speeds or a lost Internet connection Provide mobile access to teachers and staff What you get: Schools, teachers, and administrators can receive all of the following: Up to 15 donated 4G mobile hotspots Up to 5 discounted 4G tabletsEligibility
