Digital Skills Training
Program Type: Community-based digital skills training (in-person and virtual)
Overview:
Connected Nation offers free digital skills training classes to communities and organizations. Training is available both in-person and virtually at no cost to host organizations. Classes are offered in English and Spanish. In 2025, Connected Nation partnered with 230 organizations to deliver 962 digital skills classes, training 13,748 adults.
- Computer Basics: Essentials of using computers, mouse navigation
- Internet Basics: Popular web browsers (Google Chrome), search engines (Google), search tips
- Internet Safety: Online protection, secure account creation, avoiding scams
- Email Basics: Email setup and management with ease
- Mobile Device Basics: iPhone and Android device navigation and tricks
- Videoconferencing: Zoom account setup, participant/host roles, key features
Training Topics Available
- Cost: No cost to host organizations or participants
- Delivery: Both in-person and virtual options
- Languages: English and Spanish
- Instructors: Connected Nation staff members
- Duration: Workshops vary in length
- Certification: Participants receive certification of completion after completing AT&T surveys

How to Apply/Participate
Step One: Let Connected Nation know you are interested by filling out the Interest Form on the Digital Skills Training page
Step Two: Work with Connected Nation to confirm:
Step Three: Conduct local outreach to fill seats
Step Four: Interested participants register
Step Five: Participants attend workshops led by Connected Nation staff
Step Six: Participants complete AT&T surveys and receive certification
