  • Applicants: Owners of diesel school buses stationed and operating in Missouri
  • Geographic Scope: Missouri only
  • Bus Requirements: Currently in use with engine model year 1995-2006
  • Eligible Applicants: Public and private school bus owners/operators

    Award Details

  • Amount: Up to 25% of the cost of new school bus(es) with a maximum of $18,000 per bus
  • Application Limit: Applicants may apply for up to two school buses
  • Bus Type: Newly purchased buses must replace currently in-use buses
  • Selection Method: Random drawing ensuring equal chance for all eligible applicants

    Requirements

  • Buses must be "early" replacements (not already planned for replacement without this funding)
  • New buses replace existing diesel buses with model years 1995-2006

The Missouri Department of Natural Resources received EPA grant funding through the Diesel Emission Reduction Act (DERA) federal program. This is separate from Volkswagen Settlement funds.

- Eligible applicants selected through random drawing
