NOTES: All applicants are REQUIRED to schedule a pre-grant submission consultation at least one week prior to the pre-proposal application deadline either in person or by telephone, with the MCI program administrator before access will be granted to the online application. This is represented by Letter of Inquiry above.Applications received from first-time applicants by the grant program’s published application deadline will be reviewed by the Program Administrator and are exempt of meeting the program’s Courtesy Review deadline. For more information about the Courtesy Review policy, please refer to the DEADLINES section- page 3 of the grant program guidelines.Deadline after the "Courtesy Review" is represented by the pre-proposal deadline above.Corrections Deadline:Application corrections requested by the program administrator will be issued approximately 7 days prior to the corrected/final application deadline. Organizations are encouraged to complete their corrections at least three (3) business days in advance of the corrected/final applicationdeadline to ensure successful submittal. At precisely 11:59 PM on the corrections deadline date, represented by the full proposal deadline above, the online grant system will automatically close the application system for corrections. Program Objective The Developing Arts in Neighborhoods Grants Program (DAN) provides funding and technical assistance support to small and/or developing cultural groups with annual organizational budgets under $100,000 that create, present or produce year-round cultural activities and arts programs in Miami-Dade County at the grassroots level, including underserved neighborhoods, communities or special populations. This program strongly encourages applications from groups whose activities: possess the potential to build audiences and sustained community or neighborhood support for the arts; encourage people to include arts in their everyday lives; are deeply rooted in the cultural life of a neighborhood or community; preserve and embrace the indigenous heritage, traditions, customs, beliefs and/or rituals of a particular culture or ethnic group; and enhance community development and/or revitalization efforts.Eligibility
