Overview

The Denver Broncos Foundation makes Community Grants to Colorado organizations for youth-serving programs and projects in four priority areas:

Youth health and wellness — projects that improve youth mental health outcomes, such as emotional regulation and coping skills, and projects that reduce food insecurity.

Youth and high school football — projects that expand access to football, with an emphasis on player health and safety, small-scale capital improvements, and first-time girls flag football initiatives. For registration fee and equipment support specifically, the Foundation partners with Every Kid Sports and Good Sports to streamline the application.

Dynamic in and out of school programming — projects that increase school attendance and engagement, and comprehensive out-of-school-time programming focused on fostering youth belonging and engagement.

Access to career pathways — projects that increase access to industry-recognized credentials, high-quality career and technical education, and work-based learning focused on postsecondary readiness.

Applications are reviewed and approved quarterly, after each funding cycle's submission deadline. The current cycle opened on August 16, 2026 and closes on November 15, 2026, with notification by December 15, 2026. The next cycle opens January 1, 2027 with a February 15, 2027 deadline.

How to Apply

Apply through the Community Grant application linked from the Foundation's grants page, which is administered through CyberGrants.

Eligibility and guidelines:

  • Organizations must provide programs or services in the state of Colorado.
  • An organization may complete only one application per calendar year (January 1 – December 31).
  • Organizations must have 501(c)(3) status or a government equivalent, and operate with a programming expense ratio of 80% or higher.
  • The request must be for a specific youth-serving program or project in one of the four priority areas, serving youth aged 5–24.

The Foundation does not fund fundraising support (special event tables, event sponsorships, auction items), administration or operating costs, religious organizations, individuals, endowments or other reserve funds, annual memberships, political campaigns, conferences, workshops, or group or individual trips. It also does not fund individuals fundraising on behalf of a charity.

A past recipient is not guaranteed recurring funding and must have submitted its grant report through CyberGrants to be eligible to apply again. Submitting an application does not guarantee funding, and because of the volume of applications the Foundation does not provide feedback on unfunded proposals or status updates.
