About Us The Nebraska United Methodist Foundation has been your partner in ministry for over 55 years and our mission has not changed: to support the ministries of the local church and the Great Plains United Methodist Conference through the development of gifts and the stewardship of resources entrusted to the Foundation in support of God’s work. The Nebraska United Methodist Foundation is grateful to be able to provide many services and financial tools to the Nebraska churches, ministries and members of the Great Plains Conference. Our responsibility is to partner with churches, agencies and individual members of the Conference in the development of gifts and the management of assets so as to provide maximum benefit for those whom we serve. Dean & Keitha Thomson Mission Grant This Mission Grant has been established through an endowment fund by Dr. Dean and Mrs. Keitha Thomson. Grants will be awarded annually to a United Methodist-associated entity or individual who is in need of funding for mission work. Mission work may be located locally, nationally, or internationally with a focus on global health, including but not limited to medical needs, or disaster and recovery efforts. The mission work must be considered to be of a beneficial nature to the larger community and an integral part of a long-range plan for growth and outreach. Grants may be renewable up to three years within a five-year period contingent upon the availability of funding sources and the quality and scope of the mission work. It is not guaranteed that grants will be awarded the full amount of the request.
