David & Lee Scott Memorial Scholarship

Geographic Scope: Pima Community College (Tucson, Arizona)

Background: This scholarship was established as a tribute to David Scott, a Phi Theta Kappa graduate from Pima Community College (1979) who was a paraplegic from birth. David died in 1981 as a senior at the University of Arizona. In 2013, the scholarship was extended to honor Lee Scott, a founding faculty member and Faculty Emeritus of Pima Community College who was a staunch supporter of student success and inclusion.

Purpose: To empower students searching for financial support to further their educational goals and honor the legacy of David and Lee Scott.

Eligibility:

  • PCC students enrolled full-time or part-time in any field of study

  • Must demonstrate financial need

  • Student applicants with special needs will be given priority consideration
  • Award Use:

  • Monies may be used for educational expenses planned or incurred at Pima Community College
