David Jon Lindberg Memorial Scholarship

Award Amount: $2,500 annually

Eligibility: Pendleton High School graduates

Purpose

Honors the memory of David "D.J." Lindberg, a 1972 Pendleton High School graduate and 1977 Washington State University graduate with a B.S. in agricultural engineering. Lindberg's life was tragically cut short in an auto accident in April 1979.

    Recognizes an outstanding PHS graduate who embodies the standards Lindberg set:

    History

  • Original scholarship fund established following Lindberg's death in 1979
  • Transferred to Pendleton Foundation Trust in 2012
  • First scholarship awarded under PFT management in 2013
