Focus Areas: Honors U.S. Military Veterans for their support and commitment to military veterans, their families, and fellow pest control professionals

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Must be an honorably discharged (DD214) Veteran of the U.S. Military

  • Must be employed by an NPMA member company

    • Evaluation Criteria:
    Nominees will be evaluated on:

  • Leadership/involvement in community volunteer activities

  • Contributions to the pest control industry

  • Contributions to his/her company

  • Contributions to other veterans

  • Personal qualities: Integrity, Selfless Service, Compassion, Dedication

    • Award Details:

  • Recipient honored during special ceremony at the 2026 Legislative Day conference

  • Award established to honor David Cooksey, who was a passionate advocate for veterans and helped them transition into civilian careers
