Pennsylvania Environmental Council Mission Statement The Pennsylvania Environmental Council (PEC) protects and restores the natural and built environments through innovation, collaboration, education and advocacy. PEC believes in the value of partnerships with the private sector, government, communities and individuals to improve the quality of life for all Pennsylvanians. Cycling Activation in PA Mini Grants The Pennsylvania Environmental Council (PEC) has been awarded a grant from the Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources (DCNR) to administer the Cycling Activation in PA Mini Grant Program. This program will provide mini-grants of $1,000 to $15,000 for projects or events statewide that activate existing cycling assets through programming, promotion, or providing informational resources. Intent: The Cycling Activation in PA Mini Grant Program is designed to support projects and programs that promote opportunities for cycling centered on gravel roads, mountain bike trails, and multi-use pathways across Pennsylvania. Project types may include: Route Development (i.e. mapped gravel or bikepacking routes) Events and Programming Interpretive Signage Mapping Promotional Materials Funding and Match: All mini-grants require a one-to-one match in the form of cash and/or eligible non-cash (in-kind) services, or a combination of both cash and in-kind. No part of the match can originate from other DCNR funding. Mini-grant requests must not exceed 50% of the total project cost.Eligibility
