The Lloyd Library and Museum is a world renowned independent research library and exhibit space devoted to bringing science, art and history to life. Mission Statement: The Lloyd Library and Museum advocates for education in plant-based science, medicine, conservation, art and history. We provide resources to engage visitors and researchers from the community and around the globe. Seeking to grow, connect, sustain and impact our community the Lloyd Library and Museum has developed a Strategic Plan. The Curtis Gates Lloyd Fellowship The Curtis Gates Lloyd Fellowship provides funds for research at the Lloyd Library & Museum. On-site use of the Library's collections is required. Fellowships are given in one-month increments ranging from one to three months. Topics include but are not limited to: Botany Medicinal botany Ethnobotany Natural history Conservation Early travel and exploration History of science, medicine, or pharmacy Medical and pharmaceutical illustration Fellowship stipend: Selected applicants from the local region will receive a $2,000 monthly stipend. Selected applicants from outside the region will receive a $3,000 monthly stipend.

Eligibility

Conduct research related work at the Library at least 20 hours per week during their fellowship. Applicants must be citizens of the United States or lawful permanent residents of the United States. Fellowship must be completed within the period from January 2023 to December 2023.
