Overview

Cultivating Hispanic Leadership Institute (CHLI)

Overview: A six-month leadership development program partnership between the Georgia Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (GHCC) and the J.W. Fanning Institute for Leadership Development.

Program Philosophy: "Because Leadership is for Everyone" - Leadership is not for the chosen few, but for all of us; it is all of our responsibility.

    Program Details

  • Duration: 6 months
  • Cost: $3,000 (includes retreat)
  • Format: Highly interactive sessions facilitated by J.W. Fanning Institute faculty from University of Georgia
  • Curriculum: Created by University of Georgia's J.W. Fanning Institute for Leadership Development

    Program Objectives

  • Provide leadership training to assist with organizational, business, and community leadership skills
  • Create a critical mass of new leaders equipped with tools and opportunities to become:
  • - Philanthropists - Board members - Appointed officials - Elected officials
  • Build a graduate network where participants may serve as mentors to other aspiring business and community leaders within GHCC

    Eligibility Requirements

  • Must be a GHCC member
  • Must have an interest in utilizing newly gained leadership skills to "give back"

    Application Requirements

  • Attend 5 of the 6 sessions (minimum)
  • Attend retreat (mandatory)
  • Identify a "give back" goal to be employed following successful completion/graduation
