Creative Support Funding: Community Arts Grants

The Creative Support Funding: Community Arts Grants by New Mexico Arts offers financial assistance to arts organizations for various program activities, including performing, visual, literary, media, multidisciplinary, and interdisciplinary arts. This funding aims to support small-budget organizations, helping them to continue, strengthen, and expand their programs and engage with the community. Notably, organizations funded in FY2026 can apply for a renewal in FY2027, fostering continuity in arts programming.

NOTE:
New Mexico Arts has moved to a two-year funding cycle in FY2026. Applicants who are awarded funding in FY2026 will be allowed to submit a shorter Application Renewal for FY2027; you must have been successfully funded in FY2026 in order to submit in FY2027. Eligible Applicants will be notified when the Renewal Application is open.
Through Creative Support Funding we support arts organizations and other presenters for program activities in the performing arts, visual arts, literary arts, media arts, multidisciplinary arts (involving more than one discipline), and interdisciplinary arts (relating to two or more artistic disciplines). Funding can be used for a single event, several events, or an organization’s entire season.
Community Arts funding supports arts organizations statewide with small budgets for arts presenting activities. The activities are aimed at serving the general public in the community in which they are located. Community Arts is designed to help small organizations continue, strengthen, and expand current programs and audiences.
