Crawford County: Opioid Settlement Fund Grant

Crawford County invites organizations to apply for funding from the Opioid Settlement Fund, which supports programs targeting opioid prevention, harm reduction, and recovery. With an annual allocation of approximately $100,000, the fund prioritizes initiatives addressing substance use and co-occurring disorders. Awards will depend on the funds available, with 85% earmarked for opioid remediation. Proposals will be accepted starting in May, fostering community-driven solutions to combat the opioid crisis.

County invites organizations or groups addressing opioid prevention, harm reduction, treatment and recovery to apply for funding to support development, implementation, enhancement or expansion of programs. This includes programs addressing substance use disorders, polysubstance use and co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders. While the selection process will utilize a competitive Request for Proposals (RFP) process, the number of awards will be dependent on the amount of funds available for annual allocation.
Background
Fifty percent (50%) of the settlement amounts will be sent directly to county and local governments. Payments for all settlements will be received separately. Eighty-five percent (85%) of funds must be used for opioid remediation, with seventy percent (70%) being used for future opioid remediation. The settlements provides a non-exhaustive list of expenditures that qualify as being paid for Opioid Remediation.
Funding
Crawford County will, on average, have 100,000 dollars available each year for opioid remediation activities. The amount of funds available will differ annually and proposals will be accepted annually beginning in May.
