Overview

The MACPA Foundation offers CPA Exam fee reimbursement scholarships to eligible applicants who are working toward becoming a CPA. Applicants can apply after completing each exam section (not required to complete all four parts before applying). Awards are distributed on a rolling basis throughout the year until the yearly limit is reached.

  • Amount: Up to $1,000 reimbursement per applicant for CPA Exam fees

    Eligibility Requirements

    Applicants must meet ALL of the following criteria:
  • Be a Maryland resident
  • Be a U.S. citizen or Lawful Permanent Resident
  • Be a MACPA student or candidate member (www.macpa.org/join)
  • Have NOT already completed all four parts of the exam (may have completed up to three parts)
  • Be planning to pursue CPA licensure but not currently be a CPA
  • Have NOT received financial assistance from an employer in the form of payments/reimbursements of exam fees

    Special Considerations

  • If applicants become ineligible or no longer wish to be reimbursed, they are requested to notify MACPA as soon as possible so another candidate can receive assistance
  • Reimbursement is provided upon submission of CPA Exam receipt
