COVID-19 Grassroots Justice Fund

Description: A one-time fund created in partnership with multiple organizations to support grassroots justice organizations responding to pandemic-related challenges and exacerbated injustices.

Award Recipients: 30 groups from 20+ countries (first round)

Geographic Scope: Global (network members from nearly every country)

  • Access to justice information and services

  • Disability rights and meaningful participation in government response

  • Eligibility: Members of the Legal Empowerment Network (2,400+ justice organizations)

    Selection Process: Grantees selected by panel of leaders from the community

  • Grassroots Development Support and Rural Enlightenment Initiative (Nigeria) - disability rights and access to information
