COVID-19 Emergency Response Grant

  • Two funds created:

  • - Nonprofit Emergency Response Fund – Los Alamos: Prioritized for nonprofits in and serving Los Alamos County
    - Nonprofit Emergency Response Fund – Greatest Need: Prioritized for nonprofits in Rio Arriba and Los Alamos Counties

    Purpose:
    Emergency response and assistance to nonprofits impacted by COVID-19 pandemic. Funding was distributed to organizations addressing:

  • Basic human needs

  • Food distribution

  • Mental health assistance

  • Access to broadband and educational resources

  • General organizational support for nonprofits not on front lines but important to community fabric
  • Status: Program has concluded; all contributions expended in full. Two rounds of grants distributed:

  • Round I: $29,300 to 20 nonprofits

  • Round II: $31,000 to 20 nonprofits

  • Total: $60,270 to 37 community-serving nonprofits
