Geographic Scope: Warren, Washington, and Northern Saratoga Counties, NY

Focus Areas:

Relief efforts for organizations addressing unmet basic needs resulting from COVID-19

Support for food pantries responding to growing demand for food and commodities

Emergency assistance including:

- Co-pays and counseling services for unemployed clients
- Emergency rents and utilities
- Consumer transportation
- Mentoring services for at-risk youth
- Services and outreach to homebound seniors
- Insurance coverage for families with terminally ill members
- Mortgage relief for homeowners facing economic hardship

Eligibility: Local nonprofit agencies and service providers working directly with those disproportionately impacted by COVID-19

Background: The fund was established to support relief efforts with 100% of donated funds being distributed. Over $28,000 was raised, with $21,000 deployed as of May 2020 to organizations including Adirondack Samaritan, Family Services Association, Big Brothers Big Sisters of The Southern Adirondacks, Glens Falls Senior Center, NearCare, and Habitat for Humanity.
