Cousins Foundation Since 1963, the Cousins Foundations have had the privilege of supporting community partners that address the greatest needs of our day. We aim to build collaborative relationships in support of holistic solutions that address the root causes of social and economic disparities. Our Mission Our mission is to tackle big problems and build collaborative relationships in support of holistic approaches to achieving solutions that address the root causes of social and economic disparities in the communities we serve. Our Vision To model faith in action – The Cousins Foundations were established on the precept that we are called to serve – to build community, to have a lasting positive impact, and to give back to the individuals and institutions in our community. Our giving - We serve the people who are most in need, as guided by the Christian principle: "Whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did it for me." -- Mathew 25:40 We invest in transformative social change. Our efforts are acutely focused on communities in our city that have borne the brunt of systemic racism and lack equitable access to the resources they need to thrive. We prioritize funding for initiatives in the following focus areas that collectively contribute to a healthy ecosystem of resources within a community. These efforts often overlap and impact each other, so our strategy is to leverage opportunities for collaboration and partnership.
