Concurrent Enrollment Introduction to Teaching Grant

The Minnesota Department of Education is offering the Concurrent Enrollment Introduction to Teaching Grant to enhance the teacher workforce by funding programs under the Postsecondary Education Options (PSEO). This initiative aims to develop and expand dual-credit courses in education for high school students, particularly focusing on American Indian and students of color, thus promoting diversity and inclusion in teaching careers across Minnesota.

The Minnesota Department of Education has funding available for grants under the Postsecondary Education Options (PSEO) program to support Concurrent Enrollment programs that will increase and diversify the teacher workforce in the State of Minnesota.
Grant funds are available to eligible applicants to develop or expand Concurrent Enrollment courses that encourage secondary school students, especially American Indian and students of color, to pursue teaching, by developing and offering dual-credit postsecondary course options in schools for “Introduction to Teaching” or “Introduction to Education” courses consistent with Minnesota Statutes 2025, section 124D.09, subdivision 10.
