Community Philanthropy Grants

Funder: Tryon Riding & Hunt Club Inc (TRHC)

Program Overview:
TRHC is committed to supporting the area's charitable and civic causes through its community giving program. This program focuses on local programs that support important needs in the community. Over the last seven years, the Club has increased community donations from an average of $25,000 to $50,000 per year.

Funding Focus Areas

• Animal welfare
• Land conservation
• Hunger relief and other community services

Geographic Eligibility

Applications welcomed from organizations in:
• North Carolina: Polk County and surrounding communities of Rutherford and Henderson counties
• South Carolina: Greenville and Spartanburg counties

Program Objectives

The Philanthropy program wishes to reach as many community organizations as possible and welcomes applications from eligible non-profit organizations in the designated geographic area.

PEER (Polk Equine Emergency Rescue) - 501(c)3 providing skilled emergency rescue services for equestrian and large animal agricultural community

Thermal Belt Outreach Ministry - 501(c)3 crisis aid organization in Columbus, NC providing assistance for basic life needs

Guiding Reins - Equine-assisted therapy program for military, veterans, first responders, and others affected by trauma
