Community Impact Grants - Spring Cycle

Overview: Twice-yearly signature grant program supporting local nonprofit projects and initiatives that enrich the quality of life for DuPage County residents. The Spring cycle focuses on health and human services.

Geographic Scope: DuPage County, Illinois

  • Sustain Grants: For established nonprofits with demonstrated track records

  • Seed Matching Grants: For nonprofits with 501(c)(3) designation for less than three years. These are matching grants where funding is distributed when the matching dollar amount has been secured during the grant period.
  • Eligibility:

  • 501(c)(3) designated nonprofit organizations

  • Seed grants are specifically for organizations established less than three years
  • Key Information:

  • 2025 Spring cycle awarded nearly $1 million to 57 organizations

  • Nearly 70% of eligible grant applications funded

    Applications are submitted through the Foundation's grant portal during the designated application period.

    Spring 2025 Cycle Details:

  • Cycle closed after June 13, 2025 awards announcement

  • Grantees were celebrated at a Grant Open House on June 4, 2025

  • Next Spring cycle will open in January 2026
  • General Process:
    1. Review grant guidelines and eligibility requirements
    2. Determine which grant type applies (Sustain or Seed)
    3. Submit application through the Foundation's grant portal
    4. Meet the specified deadline by 5pm CT

    Grant Committee Review:

  • Applications reviewed by volunteer grant committee members

  • Network of donor-advised fund representatives and area donors involved in funding decisions
