Program Description: The OneAZ Community Foundation awards competitive grants to non-profit organizations qualified under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. The 2026 Community Impact Grant program funds Arizona nonprofits working to improve lives, expand opportunity, and strengthen communities.

Eligibility Requirements

To be considered for a grant, an organization must:

  • Be in operation and have 501(c)(3) status for at least two (2) years, preferably five (5) years
  • Have filed a Form 990 tax return with the IRS within the last year
  • Have audited financial statements by an independent accountant within the last eighteen (18) months
  • Be headquartered in Arizona, with the majority of staff, services provided, and requested funding in Arizona
  • Have an annual budget of at least $500,000 and no more than $5 million
  • Not have received funding from the OneAZ Community Foundation in the previous year. If funding was received in the previous year, you are not eligible to apply in the current year
  • Be mission-aligned with the OneAZ Community Foundation's funding pillars

What Is NOT Funded

The Foundation does not fund grants for:

  • Organizations that discriminate in the delivery of programs and services on the basis of race, religion, national origin, gender, age, sexual orientation, disability or veteran status
  • Influencing legislation and/or elections; political candidates; political campaigns; or social or political issues outside the United States
  • Individuals
  • Event Fundraising Sponsorships
  • Religious organizations, churches or programs that are purely denominational in purpose
  • Foundations or organizations which are themselves grant-making entities
  • Individual schools and their support organizations (including Booster Clubs, PTA/PTOs, athletic teams, bands, performing arts groups, alumni associations or reunions)
  • National organizations that do not have local chapters in Arizona
  • Consumer interest organizations
