Community Impact Grant
Funder: Kiwanis Club of Adrian, Adrian, Michigan
Program Overview:
The Community Impact Grant is designed for funding requests above $2,500. The Kiwanis Club of Adrian intentionally takes action to positively impact the community through a club united in service, building a vibrant community for generations to come.

- Supporting health, wellness and recreation
Funding Goals
- Organizations must be 501(c)(3) tax-exempt
- Must provide services within the Adrian area
- Projects must align with Kiwanis Club of Adrian mission and at least one objective
- One Community Impact Grant request per organization per year maximum
- Funded activities must commence within 120 days of grant receipt
- Expenditures must be made within one year of grant receipt (unless special permission granted)
Eligibility Requirements
- Purposes that would jeopardize tax-exempt status of Kiwanis Club of Adrian or applicant organization
- Political or religious activities (unless specifically identified for one specific purpose or event)
- Requests from individuals or foundations (unless specifically identified for one specific purpose or event)
- Emergency financial assistance requests
What Will NOT Be Funded
- Funds must be used solely for the granted purpose
- Grant recipients must acknowledge Kiwanis Club of Adrian in all promotional materials, activities, and programs
- Community Impact Grants are reserved for BIG IMPACT projects
Grant Requirements
- Requests are considered on an open, rolling basis with no specific deadline as long as funds are available
- Club fiscal year: October 1 – September 30
- Multi-step review process takes at least three months to complete
- Payment may take 60-90 days after final approval

How to Apply
Application Process
This is a multi-step process that takes at least three months to complete. Emergency financial assistance requests will not be considered.
#### Step 1: Initial Contact
1. Contact the Club President to confirm that funding is still available and that the project aligns with Kiwanis Club of Adrian goals
2. Send an email to AdrianKiwanisPresident@gmail.com
#### Step 2: Identify a Kiwanis Champion
#### Step 3: Submit Application
1. Complete the application form available on the website
2. Submit electronically through the form submission process on the website
3. Form may be saved at any time and continued later using provided link
4. Submissions are sent to the current Community Impact Committee (CIC) Chair
#### Step 4: CIC Review
The CIC reviews requests on a regular basis and takes one of three actions:

#### Step 7: Foundation Review
#### Step 8: Club Board Final Vote
Required Information and Attachments
Proposals must contain:
- Project budget
- Organization's tax-exempt IRS Code 501(c)(3) letter or document
- List of members serving on organization's governing board
