Community Grants

Overview: The Osteopathic Founders Foundation supports projects consistent with the osteopathic philosophy through small grants to improve the health of Tulsa and surrounding areas of northeastern Oklahoma.

Geographic Scope: Northeastern Oklahoma (primary focus on Tulsa and surrounding areas)

Focus Areas (2026):

  • Food insecurity for vulnerable Oklahomans

  • Primary healthcare services for LGBTQ+ community members

  • Wrap-around services critical to healthcare
  • Priority Populations:

  • Economically disadvantaged individuals

  • Elderly

  • Children

  • Persons with disabilities

  • Pregnant and parenting women

  • Justice-involved men and women
  • Eligibility:

  • Organizations must be tax-exempt under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code

  • Individual applications are NOT accepted

  • Organizations may receive funding only once per calendar year (12 months from last grant issued)

  • Preference given to organizations invited to apply
  • What Will NOT Be Funded:

  • Capital campaigns or capital improvements

  • Direct mail or telemarketing solicitations

  • Event sponsorships (currently not being considered)
  • Application Requirements:

  • Requests must focus on projects with direct client outcomes

  • Organizations that receive funding must submit a complete report detailing fund usage before submitting a new application

  • Only one application accepted per calendar year per organization

  • Applications received after July 14th, 2026 will be reserved for winter meeting

    How to Apply

    Application Process

    Submission Method: All materials must be submitted electronically through the grant application portal.

    Timeline:

  • Applications may be submitted at any time

  • No general deadline; specific meeting submission deadlines posted as available

  • Allocations made in spring and fall, with possible additional winter allocation

  • Applications received after July 14th, 2026 reserved for winter meeting
  • Required Application Materials:
    1. Completed online Grant Application (through portal)
    2. Cover letter (PDF format) addressed to Sherri Wise, President/CEO, including:
    - Description of the program in need of funding
    - Explanation of the program's importance to improving community health
    - Clear statement of expected outcomes
    3. Program budget (PDF format)
    4. Organization's logo (jpg or png format)
    5. Any additional supporting documents (optional)

    Additional Restrictions:

  • Organizations may receive funding only once per calendar year (12 months from last grant issued)

  • Preference given to organizations invited to apply

  • Organizations receiving funding must submit complete report before submitting new application
  • Post-Award Reporting:

  • Grant recipients must submit a complete report detailing how funds were used

  • Report required before submitting new application

  • You will need a copy of your signed Grant Agreement when completing the report
