Community Foundation Universal Scholarship Application Grant

The Community Foundation of Grant County offers over 120 scholarship opportunities for U.S. citizens and eligible noncitizens pursuing higher education at accredited institutions. With more than $1 million awarded annually, the foundation supports students of all backgrounds and academic abilities. Scholarships are competitive and aimed at covering qualified educational expenses, including tuition and fees. Applicants are encouraged to collaborate on proposals, enhancing community impact through education and development.

Every year, we give over $1 million dollars to non-profits, community entities, and college-bound students here in Grant County. From swing sets and dog parks to gardens and special events and even to future doctors and teachers, we fund a variety of causes that promote sustainable impact towards the betterment of Grant County.

That’s why we offer over 120 scholarship opportunities to Grant County students. Thanks to generous donors, we have scholarships available to students of every age, income level, academic ability, and athletic aim. All U.S. citizens pursuing higher education at an accredited university, college, or trade school, part-time or full-time, are eligible to apply for scholarships.
Remember, funding is limited…Community Foundation scholarships are highly competitive. Awards are subject to IRS regulations, Community Foundation policy, and the criteria established by donors. Also, Community Foundation scholarships are to be used only for qualified educational expenses (as defined by the IRS- meaning tuition, fees, and books).
What do we fund?
Although we expect to remain flexible in our grantmaking decisions, the Community Foundation traditionally addresses needs that fall into the categories of Health, Education, Human Services, Community Development, and Fields of Interest. Though funding for operations is permitted, it must be tied to a specific project or program. Grant Proposals written in collaboration with community partners are both encouraged and appreciated.

Eligibility

All Grant County U.S. citizens and eligible noncitizens pursuing higher education at an accredited university, college, or trade school part-time or full-time are eligible to apply for scholarships.

Ineligibility

Individuals
Any organization that has an open grant (has not given their High 5 presentation)The Foundation does not fund general operating costs. Funds cannot be applied toward any other expenses (including room and board) that students may incur during their college career.
