Every year, the Community Foundation of Des Moines County distributes grants to area nonprofits.
Origin and Purpose
The Grants and Due Diligence Committee is a volunteer grant committee made up of board members from the Community Foundation of Des Moines County and makes awards from various endowed funds held in trust by the Foundation through its partnership with the Keokuk Area Community Foundation.

Extraordinary amounts may be given if an exceptional need is seen by the Community Foundation of Des Moines County.

* All projects should serve the charitable fields of arts and culture, community betterment, education, health care and human services in Des Moines County, Iowa.
* Only one project per organization will be considered.

* Grants are not awarded in the following areas:
* annual fundraising, organizational endowment funds, deficit financing, or grants to individuals.
