Overview: A unique funding opportunity designed to support programs and services that local communities determine they want and need – implemented in a more effective, equitable and sustainable way.

Geographic Scope: Palm Beach County, Florida

Focus Areas: Community-identified needs and services

Eligibility:

Organizations with operating budgets of $1 million or less

Nonprofit organizations

Award Details:

Maximum Award: $50,000 per program in the initial year

Contract Duration: One year with potential renewal for two additional years (up to 3 years total)

Background:

Request for Proposal released in January 2021

CSC staff worked with external partners and community members to create an inviting application process for organizations without prior CSC funding experience

21 organizations submitted proposals; 20 advanced to review process

Eight organizations were awarded funding for fiscal year 2021-22:

- Gold Coast Down Syndrome Organization, Inc.
- Boldin Community Impact, Inc.
- Delray Beach Children's Garden, Inc.
- 4Knowledge is Power, Inc.
- Soil and Soul, Inc.
- The Children's Healing Institute
- Jump for Joi, Inc.
- Esperanza Community Center, Inc.
