Overview

Community Assistance Program In Fiscal Year 2016 the Alaska Legislature passed SB 210, which renamed Community Revenue Sharing (CRS) to The Community Assistance Program (CAP), effective January 1, 2017. New Community Assistance Program regulations were adopted effective December 22, 2017. CAP provides Alaska’s boroughs, cities, and unincorporated communities with funds vital to the delivery of basic public services. CAP funds can be used for any public purpose that have been determined as a priority of the funding recipient.
