Overview

Community Accelerator Program (CAP)

Status: Active pilot program with inaugural cohort underway

Purpose: A new initiative designed to expand access and strengthen institutional engagement in regions historically underrepresented in the global academic community.

Geographic Scope: Launched in Southeast Europe with founding participants including institutions from Montenegro, Slovenia, Croatia, Turkey, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Serbia. Program is preparing to expand to additional global regions.

  • Turkish Academy of Management

  • University of Belgrade – Faculty of Organizational Sciences

  • University of Montenegro, Faculty of Economics

  • University of Sarajevo

  • University of Split, Faculty of Economics, Business and Tourism
  • Program Features:

  • Tailored access to AOM resources including faculty development opportunities, journal visibility, academic networking, and strategic support

  • Co-creation model: Programs are custom developed alongside regional leaders and scholars rather than using a template approach

  • Volunteer mentorship from AOM members who provide workshops and planning support

  • Peer learning networks fostering collaborations among participating institutions

  • In-person gatherings at AOM Annual Meeting to connect CAP partners
  • Eligibility: Institutions and associations in regions with historically weak connections to AOM are encouraged to apply.
