Comcast RISE Grant Program

Overview: Comcast RISE (Representation, Investment, Strength and Empowerment) is a grant program designed to support small businesses hardest hit by COVID-19 and help them thrive with a focus on economic growth.

Geographic Scope: Multnomah County, Oregon (part of a multi-region program including Baltimore, Detroit, Memphis, and Philadelphia)

Award Details:

  • Number of Awards: 100 small business owners in Multnomah County

  • Grant Package Value: Approximately $40,000 per recipient

  • Package Components:

    • - Monetary grant
    - Business consultation services
    - Educational resources
    - Creative production
    - Media schedule
    - Technology makeover

    Focus Areas:

  • All business types (bakeries, barber shops, childcare centers, cleaning services, etc.)

  • Priority given to businesses owned by women, people of color, and individuals committed to uplifting local communities

    • Eligibility:

  • Small businesses in Multnomah County

  • Priority for women-owned, minority-owned, and community-focused businesses

    • Program Status:

  • Program launched nationally in late 2020

  • As of 2023, 13,000+ entrepreneurs nationwide have been selected as Comcast RISE awardees
