Overview

A four-week full-time fellowship providing internship opportunities for California college students who demonstrate passion for LGBT advocacy. Fellows are placed in California State Capitol offices of legislators and work closely with legislative staff.

Experience & Activities

• Placement in Capitol offices of state legislators
• Direct work with legislative staff
• Networking opportunities with LGBT and allied leaders from diverse backgrounds
• Hands-on legislative experience including attending committee hearings, media interviews, and floor sessions
• Educational component on how to follow bills and the legislative process
