Our Funding Areas As a committed business, with deep roots in many local communities, each year Cogeco supports non-profit organizations that are dedicated to the sustainable well-being of the regions we serve. We have created four funds that meet the needs of our various communities while reflecting Cogeco's values and upholding our mission. Promote Equality- Diversity & Inclusion Fund Promote social inclusion, diversity and equality in our communities. Environment Fund - Act Sustainably! Protect the environment through conservancy initiatives and climate action to help realize a sustainable future. Inspire Success - Education & Entrepreneurship Fund Advance education and entrepreneurship to transform lives and build an inclusive society. Lead Connection- Connectivity Fund Foster digital equity and inclusion to drive sustainable growth. To request a sponsorship or donation Organizations seeking a sponsorship or donation must send their request by mail, by email or by submitting the online form. They must also attach any other documents in support of their request. A minimum of 45 days is required for the review of donations and sponsorship applications made by eligible organizations. Applications are assessed on a monthly basis. Budget Globally, Cogeco allocates 1% of its previous fiscal year’s consolidated operating income, before taxes, to donations and sponsorships. The budget is established annually and approved by the President and Chief Executive Officer of Cogeco Inc. The proportion allocated between donations and sponsorships and the relative weight corresponding to each operational unit is determined at the discretion of Cogeco and may change from year to year.

Eligibility

The organization must meet the following criteria:Is a well-known, fiscally responsible, respected organization that provides valued services to Cogeco’s communities. Organizations operating in one of Cogeco’s funding areas will be given preference.Is apolitical and non-sectarian and meets all legal and regulatory requirements, including Cogeco’s Code of Ethics, and human rights, health and safety, and environmental codes.Is well aligned with Cogeco’s business and values of respect, trust, team work, innovation, and commitment to customer service.In the case of sponsorships, shall provide the level of recognition and visibility that adequately reflects the level of Cogeco’s commitment. This may apply for certain donations. To be considered for a donation, an organization must meet the above criteria as well as the following:The organization must have a valid charitable organization number and issue a tax receipt for Cogeco’s contribution.
