The CNPS - SCVC Graduate Student Research Scholarship, offered by the Santa Clara Valley Chapter of the California Native Plant Society, aims to support students researching native plant conservation and ecology in Central and Northern California. With funding up to $3,000, this scholarship encourages graduate and undergraduate students to explore topics related to plant community restoration and systematics, particularly in the San Francisco Bay Area, fostering a deeper understanding of local botanical studies.

Since 1999, the Santa Clara Valley Chapter of the California Native Plant Society has sponsored a scholarship program for students doing research on native plant or plant community conservation, plant ecology, plant community restoration, plant systematics, or other related botanical studies of native plants that grow in habitats in Central and Northern California.
The program provides up to $3,000 for both graduate and undergraduate students researching topics related to native plant and native habitat conservation in the San Francisco Bay Area.

Eligibility

Students doing research on native plant or plant community conservation, plant ecology, plant community restoration, plant systematics, or other related botanical studies of native plants that grow in habitats in Central and Northern California.Applicants must be enrolled in a graduate program in an accredited college or university and undertaking botanical research related to native plants or native plant communities in Central or Northern California.
