Since 1992, the Alexandria Area Community Foundation (AACF) has been providing innovative ways for area residents and businesses to give back to their community. As a valued partner of CommunityGiving, the Alexandria Area Community Foundation provides grants for capital campaigns, programs, and other projects that improve the quality of life in the Alexandria area.

The Alexandria Area Community Foundation seeks to make grants that will support health and wellness in the Alexandria area - especially for the health needs of people in poverty.

* Geographic Area: Grants must serve the residents within Douglas County

* Political organizations or political campaigns
* Annual fundraising drives
* Endowments
* Debt retirement or deficit financing
* Projects that have already been completed
* Scholarships or medical research
* Grants for travel or conferences
* Government funding that has been reduced or eliminated
