Program Description:
The Clinical Practice Award recognizes an exemplary nurse who provides evidence of a high level of skill in patient care through improving clinical practice and patient-centered outcomes.

Eligibility:

  • Registered nurse licensed in the state of Illinois

  • Currently providing patient care in any specialty

  • Have at least five years of nursing experience

  • Demonstrate evidence-based ability to design, implement, and evaluate evidence-based practice changes and/or quality improvement initiatives in order to promote improved patient outcomes
  • Award Focus:
    Nominations must demonstrate evidence-based ability to design, implement, and evaluate evidence-based practice changes and/or quality improvement initiatives to promote improved patient outcomes.

    First Award Winner (2020):
    Dr. Colleen Morley, DNP, RN, CCM, CMAC, CMCN, ACM-RN - recognized for her leadership of an interdisciplinary Health Confidence Lab program for patients with chronic conditions (COPD and CHF) at West Suburban Medical Center in Oak Park, IL.
