Classroom Cash Program

Program Description:
The Classroom Cash program recognizes and supports elementary school teachers by awarding grants to help them purchase classroom supplies and instructional materials that are unavailable due to budget cuts and funding shortfalls.

Geographic Scope: Pacific Northwest region from Tacoma to Portland

Award Amount: $160 per teacher award

Program Focus:

  • Support for classroom instruction and educational materials

  • Recognition of teacher excellence and innovation

  • Enhancement of student learning experiences

    • Eligible Uses of Funds:

  • New software tools

  • Reading instruction kits

  • Field trips

  • Science equipment

  • Calculators

  • Classroom furniture

  • Basic supplies (pencils, paper, etc.)

  • Other classroom materials to support teaching and learning

    • Eligibility:

  • Elementary school teachers in service areas

  • Teachers demonstrating creative and imaginative approaches to education

  • 2025 Award Cycle: 187 elementary school teachers awarded (total of $30,000 distributed)
