A Community Foundation: Building a Stronger Future WHO ARE WE? We are a local 501(c)(3) local public charity composed of 100 charitable funds begun in 1997 by people just like you. Those funds, and the gifts that started them, bear the mark of many donors, not just a select few, which differentiates us from a private foundation. In short, we’re the foundation for our community, created by local people, for local people. A community foundation empowers individuals to make a lasting difference. We provide a simple yet powerful platform for donors to achieve their charitable goals while benefiting the entire community. Herrnstein Family Fund The Herrnstein Family Fund, a donor-advised fund of the Chillicothe-Ross Community Foundation is committed to making our community a great place to live, work, play, and raise our families. The fund makes grants to causes of interest to the family that greatly contribute to the quality of life in our community. Our grants provide funding and support for projects, programs, and organizations that will help achieve our mission and are responsive to the needs of the organizations and the communities we serve.Eligibility
