Childcare Grant

Status: Short-term emergency childcare grant program (Effective 8/17/2020 – 12/19/2020)

Award Amount: $200 per week

Geographic Scope: Kaiser Permanente Colorado facilities

Focus Area: Emergency childcare support for healthcare workers required to work in-person during pandemic

Eligible Recipients:

  • Full-time employees (32+ hours per week)

  • Part-time employees (working at least 20 hours per week)

  • Per diem employees (working at least 20 hours per week)

  • Job roles: RNs, EVS workers, receptionists, pharmacy workers, and other positions required to report to work at a KP facility or directed to care for patients in person at non-KP facilities
  • Eligible Dependents:

  • School-aged children (age 14 or younger)

  • Disabled dependent children
  • Ineligible Recipients:

  • Employees working remotely or at home
  • Grant Details:

  • Amount prorated for employees working 20-32 hours per week

  • Can be applied for weekly

  • Payments issued on next payroll cycle

  • Weekly attestation required

  • Verification:

  • Kaiser reserves the right to validate all submitted information

  • Time off benefits do NOT count towards hours calculation

  • Eligible hours are those hours actually worked in a facility
