Overview

Giving back to the community through grant making is one way how we fulfill our mission of “Connecting People Who Care with Causes that Matter”. Through the generosity of our donors, The Charlotte Community Foundation can award grant-making dollars each year to organizations serving the needs of communities in and around Charlotte County, Florida. Education Fund Organizations or collaborations that are assisting school age children (VPK-12) in Charlotte County with additional education opportunities and workforce development with the intent of enriching the community and lives of those residing in Charlotte County. Examples include but not limited to: Afterschool programsCareer DevelopmentReading programsFeeding Programs

Eligibility

Applicants will be required to provide evidence of the following which will be validated by Foundation staff:A current 501(c)(3) status OR Governmental Organization as described in 501(c)(1) and 509(a)(1) of the IRC.Location in and/or primary service to residents in Charlotte County.Metrics and outcomes demonstrate that Charlotte County will primarily benefit from these grant funds.Demonstrated fiscal responsibility and sustainability.CCF Grants WILL support: Program/Service Delivery and EquipmentProgram/service delivery and equipment expenses could include but are not limited to:Program supplies that are fundamental to the delivery of the program/service directly impact a community’s needs. Part-Time, periodic wages that are fundamental to the delivery of a specific short-term program or service. Equipment is required in order to provide a program/service that directly addresses a community need.
