Overview

Charles A. Esser Memorial Scholarship

Purpose: Honors the memory of Charles A. Esser, former City Manager of Phoenix. Designed to financially assist Arizona graduate students in public administration who aspire to a career in local government management.

Eligibility:

MPA (Master of Public Administration) student

Minimum GPA of 3.0 in previous college coursework

Currently working in or aspiring to work in local government

Strong academic achievement

Demonstrated financial need (indicated in essay)

Attending one of these universities:

- Arizona State University
- Grand Canyon University
- Northern Arizona University
- University of Arizona

Award Includes:

$4,000 scholarship

Registration and lodging to ACMA Winter Conference (in year awarded)
