Overview

Charles A. Esser Memorial Scholarship

Purpose: Honors the memory of Charles A. Esser, former City Manager of Phoenix. Designed to financially assist Arizona graduate students in public administration who aspire to a career in local government management.

Eligibility:

  • MPA (Master of Public Administration) student

  • Minimum GPA of 3.0 in previous college coursework

  • Currently working in or aspiring to work in local government

  • Strong academic achievement

  • Demonstrated financial need (indicated in essay)

  • Attending one of these universities:

  • - Arizona State University
    - Grand Canyon University
    - Northern Arizona University
    - University of Arizona

    Award Includes:

  • $4,000 scholarship

  • Registration and lodging to ACMA Winter Conference (in year awarded)
