Charitable Monetary Donations (Requests under $10,000) Grant

The Alcon Foundation focuses on enhancing global eye health through charitable monetary donations to 501(c)(3) organizations. Grants aim to support programs that improve access to quality eye care and education, fostering community development. Eligible applicants must demonstrate high-quality services, well-defined goals, and the ability to report outcomes. The foundation does not fund organizations that discriminate or are not 501(c)(3) compliant, ensuring that resources are directed towards impactful initiatives.

Our Focus
By supporting organizations that advance and improve the quality of eye health, education and access to care, the Alcon Foundation plays a significant role in fulfilling our commitment to the global community. The purpose for the grant must be designated in the application and that designated purpose is the only purpose for which awarded grant funds may be used.

Alcon provides charitable monetary donations (often referred to as grants) to eligible 501(c)3 organizations that offer high-quality programs and services to increase access to quality eye care and strengthen the communities in which we live and work. These donations are offered through the Alcon Foundation.

The Foundation’s primary focus is supporting programs that improve the quality of eye care services and patient access to care, as well as programs that promote the advancement of eye health education, training and skillstransfer.

Eligibility

The Alcon Foundation accepts charitable monetary donation applications from 501(c)(3) charities a reputation for meeting objectives  and the ability to report resultsSupporting Programs That Strengthen and Enhance our Communities The Foundation also supports select cultural, humanitarian and community development programs that meaningfully enhance quality of life in the communities where Alcon has a U.S. facility: Fort Worth, Texas

Ineligibility

The Foundation does not make donations to:

• Non-501 (c)(3) organizations, individuals or families
• Fraternal, labor, political or veterans organizations

Organizations that discriminate on the basis of creed, gender, gender identity, national origin, race, religion or sexual orientationK-12 schools or school-affiliated groups
Athletic leagues or teams
Programs providing adaptive services and/or technologies exclusively for the blind or people with low vision
Religious-based programs for the purpose of furthering religious doctrine
Fundraising events and activities, e.g., walks/runs, galas, dinners, golf tournaments, etc.
