Chobani Community Impact Fund

The Chobani Community Impact Fund will prioritize programs and organizations working to combat food and nutrition insecurity in the following ways:

* Community-based programs that support access to healthy meals and nutritional education outside school on weekends and during the summer
* Food and nutritional programs that provide support for expecting mothers and caregivers
* Programs that address the food and nutrition needs of preschool children
* Health provider/clinician efforts that provide nutritional education and/or food as prescription programming
* Programs or initiatives that support the ability of individuals to enroll in food-related public benefits (ex. SNAP)
* Food pantries, including school-based food pantries and mobile pantries
* Programs or initiatives supporting the connectivity or coordination of hunger-fighting efforts
* Meal or grocery delivery programs School-based programs that enhance or improve state and/or federal assistance efforts

Eligibility

* 501 (c)3 organizations primarily benefitting residents of Chenango and/or Otsego counties
* Organizations requiring a fiscal sponsor, please inquire before submitting an LOI
* Certain local government agencies and municipalities, public school systems within the Foundation’s five-county service region

Ineligibility

* We Do Not Consider Requests For
* Funding to reimburse an organization for costs that were incurred prior to the date the grant was awarded.
* Funding for capital campaigns
* Funding to pay existing mortgages
* Grants to individuals  without a fiscal sponsor
* Funding for religious purposes
* Funding to organizations that have so many counterparts (e.g. scout troops, ambulance squads, volunteer or municipal fire departments, individual schools within a school district, individual school classrooms, PTAs) that it would be difficult to assess the relative merits of similar proposals.
