Competitive Grants

The Community Foundation offers 4 competitive grant programs which focus on:

* Early Childhood Education,
* the Future of Northwest Mississippi,
* Place-Based Education & Civic Engagement, and
* Technology in Education.

The Community Foundation’s competitive grant application cycle is offered ONCE a year between July 1st and August 1st.

Types of Grants Available

CFNM focuses on programs that involve health and education, especially for youth and children. There are four pillars for granting: Endowment for the Future of Northwest Mississippi, Place-Based Education & Civic Entrepreneurship, Technology in Education, and Early Childhood Education. The CFNM Grants Committee chooses what category is necessary for the grantee.

Eligibility

* Your organization must have a 501(c)(3) status designation or be an entity of government to apply for a grant and receive funding.
* Nonprofit organizations that work in the Community Foundation’s service region are eligible to apply.
* These counties include Bolivar, Coahoma, DeSoto, Leflore, Marshall, Panola, Quitman, Sunflower, Tallahatchie, Tate, Tunica, and Yalobusha..

Ineligibility

* The Community Foundation does not make grants or loans to individuals.
* We do not provide direct assistance with writing proposals.
